The long awaited Hatsan AT44-PA .22cal has arrived!
It took about a week for it to ship from Sniper on the east coast to me on the west coast.
Well packaged and arrived safely.
Comes with a brass filling probe, a brass degassing device, 4 extra probe O-rings, an Allen key for adjustments, an extra set of seals, and 2 magazines.
Here are some of my initial impressions after looking over the AT44-PA.
Construction quality is on par with my Benjamin Sheridan Trail NP All-weather, which is amazing considering the price. For a bit more than the price of the Trail, you get a repeating PCP!
No worries about tossing this gun around. It feels very solid. Looks like it can take some beating without any issues. Beefy double barrel band, muzzle protector, long and wide breech with nice solid combo Weaver/dovetail scope rail and tough polymer stock.
This baby has some heft, more so than my B51, about the weight of a scoped HW95, a bit less the Trail NP AW kit.
Decent open sights. I might just leave this gun open sighted for quick and easy handling.
I have only been able to cycle the action and dry fire it a few time, with 150 Bar factory air pressure in the cylinder.
Operation is a bit on the rough and stiff side. The trigger is also set a bit heavy for my taste. However, nothing a bit of polishing and lubing won't fix.
When I have some more time, I'll give the barrel a good cleaning and give you some shooting impressions.
So far, construction wise, I am impressed with what you get for the price.
Big thumbs up to Sniper for bring us a solid, well priced, PCP.
