I have 3 10/22s and several aftermarket mags, the steel lip mags are flawless.

I have had the best luck with the factory 10 shot mags. Never had a problem. Not much luck with the banana clips, either steel or plastic lips. They work best if you only load 18 - 20 rounds, but not always a guarantee.

I have 4 factory mags, along with 3 of the steel lip 25 round BCreek mags (black as well as clear) & a 10 shot BCreek CLEAR steel lip mag. They all function properly, however all of the 25 round mags. screwed up with the first few mag fulls of ammo - then stopped screwing up. Make sure the bottom of the mag is not contacting the bench top surface.

I really like the 25 rounders when shooting gophers. With 2 mags stuck together, a quick reload gives 50 rounds capacity, with another 75 rounds in the cargo-pant's pockets with 5 10 rounders and the other 25.

I should add that my only jamming problems come from powder fouling buildup inside the action - mostly along the top inside surface. I use spray- WD40, or powder solvent and a tooth brush to loosen it - wipe it out, then go back to shooting.

Steel lip are flawless... Anything with more capacity is less reliable.

Factory mags work best!
Followed by Tactical-inc adjustable lip... if I only put 20 in the mags

Had some Jam-line, that ended up as targets... Black Dog 50rds drum, work good... but only with factory barrel :?

I have a 10/22 takedown and have tried 3 different mags with no luck. Factory mage cycles even the ugliest cheap ammo no issues??? It is a new gun so I'm going to try again after I put a few thousand rounds through it. Got so mad at the Butler creek that I shot it LOl

My takedown is quite new. so maybe it needs to be broken in some more.?????

And yes I did think it was funny to shoot that clip at the shooting range. I hope the rest of the public forum finds it funny as well
