My XSB50 was very inconsistent in stock form as a .22. It is actually a fairly simple design to work on. Much of the work on my gun was done with Keyriggers help. In stock form and charged to 3000psi my gun was putting out 28fpe with Beeman Kodiaks 21grain. Problem was it dropped with each consecutive shot.

I bought a used barrel and breech in .177, changed the port diameter, and with Keyriggers help adjusted the hammer spring preload. He also did an amazing trigger tune, very light but well defined 2 stages, and a crisp predictable release. This type of work is not possible without a crony...or should I say Chrony!.

Part way through my first season with this gun it developed a problem with the valve. At the same time I had an opportunity to get a brand new Logun Solo, with a Lothar Walther barrel for $519.00 US. The Logun was a great deal and is a very nice gun to shoot FT with.

The valve problem turned out to be a simple fix, and in all honesty I think that the XSB50 is now the equal of the the Logun for FT.

I am now in the process of getting a used TX200 that is tuned to 11.5 fpe. It is my plan to shoot Spring piston at Elmira and PCP in Port Colborne (re: Pirellip).
