I recently bought a 2240. I added a steel breech kit and tried a NcStar RedDot sight and didn't like it. I was going to put the stock open sight back on, but found that it only works with the stock breech. I don't think I will be putting a longer barrel on it so I think a good open sight is what I want. Just something for indoors in the winter and warm weather fishing trips the rest of the year. Any suggestions ???

Check out the diopter sight at this link: http://www.dlairgun.com/Daisy-Accessories.html It's pricey, but it will fit on your steel breech dovetail.

I've been using the LPA MIM sight with great success. Its available at the link Lauchlin posted above. I'm using it with a crosman muzzle break and sight pin on the front end of the gun (available at the same link above).

cheers
Jeff

What if you unscrew the eye piece or whatever the proper name for it is. You should get about a 1/4" opening. I've done that with a Williams receiver sight before on a 22 cal rifle worked quite well.

Mendoza also makes a clamp-on notch sight on the same "frame" as the diopter. It would probably make a great pistol target sight and it's $10 cheaper at pyramid air then the diopter.

I never was a fan of open sights. I used a target sight a lot when I was younger. I think I will give the Mendoza Diopter sight a try. Scopes and Ammo has them and I like to keep as much money in Canada as I can. " Happy New Years " Everyone :partyman: Jack

If you know anyone in the U.S. The Williams Peep can be had from numerous places for $59.99. Just Google it. That is $62.00 and change by todays exchange rate. I like to shop Canadian when I can but sometimes the price is the difference between I can afford it or I cant!

That's why I will most likely order the Mendoza Diopter sight $38 Canadian. I can't remember what site it was, but it had about 15-20 very good reviews. http://scopesandammo.com/storefront/pro ... iews_id=21
