Yes, but the PX4 looks so sexy next to a CX4!!!!

It looks sexy all by itself too

Hehehe Yes. Yes it does.

I saw it up close today and it looks great. I was afraid the plastic would be cheap but it's of the same quality as the CX4.

The only thing holding me back is that a lot of the controls are molded and are non-functional.

my vote is the Sig Sauer P226 XFive

Pros: Fun! Realism! best blowback! Heavy - just adds to the realism! Grip! Trigger! Full size magazine - again the weight is just so right.

Cons: Uses CO2 fast (2 to 3 mags/45 to 55 shots before weakening noticeably), not too accurate, but much of this is due to the kick from the blowback. Fixed sights (well mine anyway, the "open" model has adjustables sigths)

I've have the GSG-92 as well, and while it was more accurate than the sig, it's blowback didn't have as much kick and didn't slam all the way back and forward as cleanly or reliably as my Sig. I've seen the GSG-92 occasionally misfire (half cock the slide) on the first mag (when CO2 is still almost full). My Sig has only done that when I'm on the 3rd reload of the magazine on the same CO2.

On the Sig, the slide is 2/3 a pound of metal and it spends a lot of CO2 to slam that slide back when firing. The experience is very much like firing a real firearm. The noise and the immediate motion of the pistol in you hand overshadows the noise of your shot striking something (at least within the 20' range I usually have available to me).

My first bb airgun was the Crosman Pro 77. I picked it up from Canadian Tire for $129 and it has been a lot of fun. The blowback is realistic and locks when the clip is empty. I would however have preferred a metal clip, the plastic clip feels cheap. You just have to be careful not to slam it into the gun. I get about 9 or 10 clips consistently with a C02 and it shoots pretty tight from 25 feet.

I also picked up a Beretta PX4 Storm, the first 3 clips will blow right through my target setup. Very powerful and has a good feel to it. Goes through C02 a lot faster than the Pro 77 but a good 100 shots nonetheless. I tried bb's with it for a couple clips but didn’t like it.

I have an Umarex SA177 coming tomorrow and I am really excited about that gun.

First post yay!

Congrats on the SA177 and on your first post! The SA177 is a great little pistol, if you like the SA177 I would highly recommend you get the GSG 92, SIG Sauer P226 and Tanfoglio Witness 1911. They're all blowback pistols, all metal, full size mags containing the CO2. They can all be disassembled like the firearm they copy. Great buys.

I am sure glad I have never gotten into crack or heroin, my highly addictive personality would have killed me. With that said I am going to order the p226 right away and the 911 as well. Thank you for the suggestions. The "ReplicaAirGun" reviews on youtube has been very helpful.

I may test the water with a air rifle as spring is coming and I would love to move my shooting outdoors and back from the 10 yard mark.

What a great site!

The cheapest 1911 you will get in our own Canadian Airgun Forum store (Sniper).

The P226 is so realistic that after practicing with it, my accuracy with the real steel got much better.
