Hi Folks, first post here!
I just love airguns!

I got my PAL and it's time to move on to my first adult air rifle.

Either than Russell Sports, and DL Airguns, where else, in Canada (prefferably in Ontario), can I buy the Shadow 1000?

Thanks,

CZ-SNIPER

Hi guy. welcome to the crowd. Question though. Just how attached are you to the handle sniper. You see we have a long serving friend of this forum with over 2000 posts who's handle is Sniper. You will see the products that he researches and develops for his fellow airgunners advertized between the indices. I may be speaking out of turn (and will probably get sh*t from THE Sniper for this)but there are a lot of other handles out there to choose from. CZ- to me is just to close . I know that I would be perturbed with a CZ-Scruffie. Or you want to see the litter fly , try CZ-WrongWay or how about CZ_AirGunFun. Not mean't to offend , just something to think about. I could and probably will get stepped on for this, But I think it had to be said Thanks. Randy

So now thats over, what qualities in a rifle are you looking for as you have a lot of very knowledgeable people on this forum that are more than willing to help out.

Scruffie,
thanks for your concern about my handle name. I use this handle name on many forums, so I am kind of attached to it.

I am looking for an Inexpensive, accurate, powerful, durable PAL-rated air rifle that is relatively quiet, to get rid of a severe squirrel pest problem in our backyard.
I already made up my mind that I'm gonna go for the Shadow 1000, I just need to find a place where I can buy it, lol.,

For now yes, LeBaron don't have it in their catalog, may be you want to
ask them as well because they carry Gamo but you won't get good
service there.

Does it have to be the cheapest ....??? get a stolen one .....LOL....
For sure it'll be cheapest ....lol...j/k

LOL, well the only place I was able to find a Canadian price on it, was @ D&L... which is around $75 CAD more than any other place that sells the Shadow 1000 in the U.S after conversion...

oh yeah but you got to remember, the shipping charges, broker fee, custom tax, pst & gst, then you get to deal with custom if they damage the gun and they don't care. If you're lucky nothing is defective ..... that has to be shipped back. If it wasn't for all the hassle and the money, we're all would buy all the guns from the U.S., I buy alot parts from the U.S because it's NOT availble in Canada, or else in Canada is my first choice.

If I am correct when you (in Ontario) buy from D&L (in BC) you don't pay PST. That knocks a few more dollars of the price.

Makes sense Sniper, thanks for your input.
I'll give D&L some serious thought. I'll call the guy and have a little chat with him 8)

I hear the Shadow 1000 is also available in .22, wow, that would be great for hunting! I hope D&L could order me one.

Thanks,
CZ

Yes you are correct. No PST if shipped out of B.C. Besides keeping the money in Canada when buying here it is a heck of a lot easier dealing with any warranty issues if they arise when you don't have to ship it back across the line. Another reason that having to pay a couple bucks extra makes it well worth it.
