You can’t buy a single airgun for everything. Golfers use many different clubs, airgunners need more than one gun

Thanks... I got so inspired of what Mak & Gunzlaw have done to theirs 1911 in Mak's tread... topic49052.html

I saw it already in September last year the first time when i look after DIY when i just have bought my 1911 and i like what i saw. I wanted a brushed finish on the sides so i sand with 3M Scotch-Brite in one direction over the flat sides on the frame & slide and i left other part of the gun just like it was after i stripped the paint, i only brushed those part of the gun with a brass brush to give it a dusty finish.

I made the grip my self of Swedish oak & bought the rubber pearce grip from Midway-Sweden. And the grip screws are regular flat countersunk stainless hexscrews... not sure off the name in English

/Kent from Sweden.

I polished a spare slide with no sights I had, it's like a mirror/chrome but I have problems with my hands so I can't keep on polishing or polish the rest of the pistol.
It looks amazing with the brushed side, the top done more dusty and the fully polished barrel. I polished just the barrel on my SIG Sauer, it look good with the black pistol.

Really nice work!

I want to know , I have a second one that i think to polish ..mirror polish it.
did you know if the alloy can hold the polishing ....or it tarnish quickly ?
(something to counter the quick tarnishing exist ???)

the slide will hold for sure, but the rest of the parts will tarnish really fast if you don't put something to protect it but the slide for sure will hold, it looks that they put more aluminum on the slide or its made of aluminum

My slide has been polished close to a mirror/chrome finish (I have one paste left before the Jewelers rouge) for maybe a year now and it hasn't tarnished.

Hello guys, i just have a quick question. How does one remove the inner barrel from the outer? I know of the 2 screws but im not sure what pin needs to be removed/pushed, is it the pin on the left or right looking down at the barrel pointing forward?

Thanks,
All photos are great, the only thing I now need is a photo where the small spring is located.
Everything else is very easy.

I appreciate the info.
