Got one of Jack Haley's PCP tubes for the QB. Its well made. Comes fully assembled, and ready to drop in. I have not had it out, but have heard the valve is basically stock so it should need work if you want power at high pressure. Cost was 157.00 USD shipped to Ontario.

I need to clearance the barrel weight on my AR before I can install it. Will post more when I test it out.

Hey Paddy at least your valves retaining screws look like they are in the right place. Me and a friend of mine bought 2 of them from him 18 months ago and they would not hold air. The retaining screws on one of the tubes missed the valve completely. The o rings were all torm and mashed in both tubes. The home made valves were junk so were the stems. In mine I had to machine the fill assembly oring gland deeper for an 016 o ring and replace his whole valve with a modified QB valve and a Roy Weid valve stem. Then on a 2500 p.s.i.fill it hit ovet 1000 f.p.s. with 14.5's. My friend had to do the same thing to his plus redrill and thread new holes to retain the valve. Both tubes were so full of burrs and shards and chips of metal they were a total mess inside. I have to say one good thing the blueing job on the tube was excellent. My friend took pics of his tube and put them on the Yellow Forum to show the Americans his quality workmenship lol lol.My friend is Fox 47 on the forum, send him a pm and ask him. I hope you have better luck then we did.

George.

I hope it works out ok. The machining on the breach end is nice and smooth. He stopped selling them for a while, not long after your friend got his I think. Maybe he farms them out and they were not well made, or if he makes them, maybe he has spent more time on them to get the quality up. Then again, I may have a bunch of issues ahead.

Everything looks good, but the hammer is stopping about 1/4" too far back. I cant close the bolt.

You don't have the breech in the exact position, sometimes you have to fiddle with it and reposition it 1/2 dozen times for it to drop into position.

I dont think so. I wish it was. It looks like the valve stem is too long. I will need to take it out to see. The hammer bottoms out further back than it does on the stock tube.

The valve I got in my gun was a pos. It was really crude and leaked badly.May be better off if you use a QB valve. The stem sticks out .770 from the valve give or take a few thou. Hope you sort it out.

Got it fixed. It was the oversize hammer spring that came with it. It was too long. I know I tried the stock one, but I must have not had the pins lined up on that try. Hey it was late and I had it on and off a dozen times.
Other than that everything looks really good. Once I get some air and try it out I will post some more photos.

Walter if I need help I will let you know. I know the magic you can do with these.

Thanks

Glad you got it sorted out. Jack never gave us an extra hammer spring. If it holds air you should be good to go.
