Well guys , it's that time of the year again when some of us "discover" they absolutely need a new pea-shooter ; deer-season (for guns) opens this week in our part of Ontario . For archers it's been open since Oct. 1. already . --- Today I did my weekly inspection-tour in Belleville and checked out Can. Tire too . Now and then they offer some bargains ; normally they're pretty high-priced . --- However , the Savage AXIS in 7mm-08 with a 3x9 (?) scope mounted and bore-sighted for $299.99 strikes me as a damn good deal ; they had 11 of them . The glass is certainly not a Zeiss , Swarovsky or even Leupold but should suffice for a while . The gun alone is worth more than what they're asking . --- A while ago the Benji Discovery was on sale ($350 with pump) . I didn't check if it's still there , though . --- Just figured I should let you know .
