So much diversity here. The only thing i really see in common is that we all seem to have addictive personalities!

Here's my list:

Powder burners
Hi Fi
Building/upgrading/customizing/modding computers
Videogames
Drawing/animation
Blu Ray collecting
Martial Arts (Wing Chun/BJJ/Muay Thai)

Flying sailplanes (this is the one that takes up all the vast majority of my time and money, as usual with any form of aviation!) There are a couple of other guys in the gliding club who are into 10 meter air rifle shooting. Not only are they better pilots than me, they're better shots too! There ain't no justice.

Music, I play (poorly) and sorta collect guitars, effects and amps (not too many at once but I've had a lot over the years) and I've studied flute at college and played sitar too

Kayaking (used to sail too)

Lots of other interests, many of them the same as other members have mentioned (astronomy, Hi-Fi, bicycles, motorcycles etc.) but the ones above are the ones that are the most indulged in.

You're not alone Doc, I used to come your wonderful city for food, drink and racing for the weekend,
I was very sad when they skipped Montreal one year, thank God its back.
Can't wait for this year, I'm sure it will be quite interesting.

Joe

Apart from the addictive personalities I also notice we all seem to like mecanical stuff (cars, motorcycles, bicycles, RC planes and cars) and/or modding stuff.

I had many hobbies and collectibles but my main interests now has been IPSC shooting, SCUBA diving and tinkering with my AA S410 Xtra FAC.

Check out My YouTube Channel. Our trip to St. Lucia 2012 should be posted in a week or so... way too many videos and pictures to go through and edit. I have a IPSC match tomorrow, Sunday, so that video should be posted the same day if not the next.

I have a 1980 Corvette for about 15 years now. I bought it stock with about 195HP and couldn't pull away from a '93 Cavalier. I used to get surrounded by souped up Honda's all the time wanting to beat a Corvette. I have built 3 engines myself in my basement, the last one and the one in it now is a small block Gen 1 427ci beast.

I have put a 5 speed in it and it will cruise at 130kph @ 1800rpm. It will go over the speed limit on the 400 series highways ( 100kph ) in first gear. It will rev to 8000rpm and is ~650HP normally aspirated with one 825 Drag Race Demon carb. It is not a race car, my grandmother could putt around town in it but it will break the tires loose at 60mph. I am very proud of the car and it gets a lot of attention even though it looks almost stock. I have $15,000 in the motor alone just in parts and it was painted for 10 grand at Legendary Motor Cars.

I'm curious as to the average age of the members. Doesn't seem like tech is a common thing around here.

I think at the end of the day though, we're all guys that like to tinker with stuff.

There was a poll on this recently, maybe someone better with the forum search engine can find it?

Thanks Dukemeister.

The other age groups are that far behind at around 20% from 30 up to 70.
