Hi Walter,

Just wondering what volume of regulated air and pressure you are using?

Grant, fill 3000 shoot to 1500 with the 230cc reservoir less regulator body....

firing volume is 25cc at 2,000psi currently
used 1500 previously

That platform as a bullpup doing 40 ft lbs would be my ultimate field gun.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but if Hatsan does get on the bullpup bandwagon, it will be outside Canada. In Canada, bullpup stocks are prohibited firearm components under Regulation SOR 98-462. Bullpup stocks are prohibited under the Schedule to the Regulation, Part 4, Paragraph 2:

"2. Any rifle, shotgun or carbine stock of the type known as the “bull-pup” design, being a stock that, when combined with a firearm, reduces the overall length of the firearm such that a substantial part of the reloading action or the magazine-well is located behind the trigger of the firearm when it is held in the normal firing position."

Part 4 of the Schedule is also where the prohibition on high capacity magazines may be found -- any pistol mags that hold more than 10 rounds, or centre-fire semi-auto rifle mags over 5 rounds are illegal. Under the caselaw, possession of a high cap mag - or even the component parts of a high cap mag - is an offence even if you don't own the pistol or rifle that would use the mag.

I expect the same rationale would be applied to a bullpup stock -- if the stock can be used on a firearm, then the stock itself is illegal even if not mounted. Thus, if a PAL-rated version of the air rifle is available anywhere, then the bullpup stock will automatically be a component for a firearm and illegal even if you intend to mount it on a sub-500fps version. A 40ft/lbs version would be out of the question.
