X3 For sure. 8) At my place, I am fortunate enough to be able to shoot AG's when ever I want with no problems with anyone. But I guarantee you that if I started running a few mags through my .06, the neighbours would get upset real quick. It's not even a contest, as to which platform that I use the most.

If my neighbours started running a few mags through a .06 I'd be real upset quickly too!!! Unless they invited me of course

I'm quite happy with my non-PAL airguns but my firearm owning buddies are encouraging me to get a PAL and join them "on the dark side"
They have cookies there!

Cause everyone is dying to work in the oil fields. It's too bad that all the high paying non-manual labour jobs are in Toronto. I don't mind the sun, it's the cold weather that I hate.

Good one, hey Walter can I borrow your spare drilling platform so I drill in my office tower to make more money?

The main reason I intended to get a PAL in the future was so I could buy a 10 meter match rifle like an FWB 300, Diana 75, Walther LGR etc. Now that I have a detuned FWB 602 courtesy of a forum member I no longer have much motivation to get a PAL. The only powder burning gun I have an interest in acquiring in the near future would be a flintlock muzzle-loader which wouldn't need a PAL either! (though I would make sure to learn as much as possible from any black powder enthusiasts in my area if I got one)

Well for me it is more about precision than it is about power. Even most high power airguns just make a fraction of the power of a .22LR so whether an airgun shoots 800 fps or 1000 fps is kind of a moot point. On the flip side, my Weihrauch's Rekord trigger is much nicer than most any .22 rimfire I have ever shot.

looking back on this i meant that ill be getting my PAL to purchase the Vortek tuning kit for my Ruger .17cal
blackhawk which i think is up and around the 1000fps mark? ...how acurate it would be???

Rule of thumb is the faster a springer shoots the harder it is to squeeze all the accuracy out ot it.

Hey there Fonestar,

I went out to get my PAL so that I could buy PAL rated airguns and some powder burners. Once you get your PAL, you are opening a door to all the rifles available for your glory!

As it stands, I have about 5 PAL rated air rifles, 2 Rimrifles, a Shotgun, and Norico SKS.

I didn't go for my "Restricted" license for the reason that I'm more of a "Rifle Man", that is in the sence I enjoy shooting targets at long ranges with a rifle. Having to join a Gun Club in order to own a "Restricted" handgun and shoot at paper targets only (no hunting allowed with Handguns in Canada), I figured I could enjoy the same sport with just shooting an airgun in the privacy of my home without the cost of yearly membership fees... I own a few of the Umarex airgun replicas and do enjoy shooting them anytime in the garage or basement.

As for the powder burners I own, basically I visit some ranges in the area and pay the "Vistor" fee for the day. I'll meet up with a group of my friends at a range for a day to do some shooting. But I find that with airguns and air rifles, I can shoot anytime at home without having to make a trip to a range...

As I mentioned before, having a PAL does open a door the door to the whole world of firearms... Definitely worth the consideration!

Take care,

NIGHTHAWK

Yup. Just wondering. An air rifle with a short barrel would fall under restricted, wouldn't it?
