Thanks Gord your Predator pellet pictures are way less gory than my pictures.

And as you eluded all the calculators and internet reading doesn't even come close actually saying you DID it already.

I guess its no big deal thats for sure, I just never had a pellet gun that could do this before.
that was sold as non PAL.

Is that with a QB57? I think they are notoriously "hot", but probably not more than 550fps out of the box. I've had non-Pal rifles doing a bit of dieseling that go through cans at 50 yards, but my normal 470-499 fps non-PAL .22 only dent the "back" side. Did some 50 yard shooting today with my wimpy AT44 that chronys at 430 fps with CPHPs at a 1 kg coffee can with plastic lid and it was sending the pellets through the plastic and denting the back or the can.

Yes a QB57, I took a large coffee can out today but only managed to get through one side once at 50yds I was shooting pop cans at 60 but it was abit windy and the car was rocking so I couldn't get a good rest. I've polished the spring ends and everything else that needed it, put in Acetron GP spring guide and made a tophat, so that added a little preload. I recrowned the barrel and I know for sure that helped the accuracy. I lubed up with a mixture of loctite moly65 and a pinch of graphite. Oh as well I used the spring that came in the qf2 kit it was 1/2' longer and straighter than the stock one. I don't think I would want add anymore power it's just on the verge of becoming a harsh shooter.

I managed to borrow a chrony today, my gun is shooting an average of 575fps, the low was 569 the high 589. Thats CPHPs, RWS superpoint extras and Daisy precision max wad cutters.

14.3 gr flying at 575 fps is packing 10.5 FPE.
You have one souped up (pun) QB57 there :lol:

Military ammo will always out penetrate a hunt round! Military ammo is designed not to expand since or some reason there are rules to war!
