After a couple of weeks of sleepless nights working on this project, I finally (well almost) completed restoration of my Steyr Match 88.

I tried to do some research about this rifle, but was not successful. I believe this was the first CO2 rifle Steyr manufactured following their success on the LP1.

Living up to it's standards, the rifle is well built and balanced (a bit on the heavy side thought at about 10lbs.)

I figure it will be easy to scope (for FT use) as it has a side cocking lever and a long dovetail (starting to save on the scope and mount now). I've shot it a couple of times on bench rest, and as I expected, this rifle shoots hole on hole using JSB match at 10 meter. I will conduct a chrony test and will share the result later.

Special thanks to JezX for making a fill adapter for me. Hope you enjoy the photos.

Thanks guys.

The stock is right hand only.

I'm trying to figure out how to adjust the power for this rifle. I do have a copy of the manual but its in German.

When I was doing the restoration, I could not find any adjustment for power.

Anyone out there familiar with this rifle?

It's taking me a while to save on the scope I want for this rig so I decided to borrow the scope of my other rifle just to get a feel how the rifle will shoot on FT set-up. I installed an Anschutz 4782 palm rest which also serves as a knee rest.

This is what it looks now. What a joy to shoot.
