Ok, at $27.44CAD, why not so I received it 10 day's later. It's made for a airsoft 1911 Socom, so the fit is not perfect.

I installed it on a KWC 1911TAC R2, the bushing as the exact inner size for the barrell, exact outside size to fit in the slide, the notch to lock the compensator in the slide fit's good (may be a little thin). The two problem I found, is the bottom hole is to small for the, :?: you know the thing you have to push to remove the bushing and the bottom grove finishes to low. I have picture you will understand.

File comment: The hole on the right is the same size all the way, so had to make it bigger but only 3/16 deep. Also the notch could be deeper compared to the original, it does the job.

File comment: See the line on the slide not at the same height so I filed it down (actualy up) to match with the slide. Took about 5hrs to file/sand/polish it. Was not sure of the result until polishing. Turned out ok.

Getting closer. I estimate time for 1 set at 5 to 6 hrs of labor. I will post a picture of the rig I made to speed up the work with my Makita big bore dremel.

Nicely done, but why not create your own post. Seems this thread has become a running dialog of just about anything, which makes it difficult using indexes to find interesting new topics. I, for one, would vote to lock this thread down to encourage spawning new posts for all these interesting entries.

Hi,
I just exchanged PMs with silentman (Daniel) regarding his concerns about my comment above. Obviously he (and perhaps others) did not receive the message I was hoping to convey. My suggestion bore absolutely no intent to criticize the post nor its originator. It was inspired by silent man's last series of posts, which would be of interest to many, but could be easily lost in a thread of nine pages where the topic has wandered (from other comments), from, which he reminded me, was intended to be an ongoing story of his collection. I must admit I lost sight of that intention pages and months ago. In, fact, he also had to remind me that this was, in fact, his thread. (all very politely, by the way).

I apologize to silentman and other readers for any misunderstanding I created.
