I own 2 underlever cocking guns, HW 97 and AA TX200 I noticed that my wedding ring has now worn off the bluing to a silver haze where it has been rubbing..

I guess the same can happen with a break barrel..

Take care to protect that zone , I now remove the ring when shooting...

Good point, if you say you're going out shooting and come back with your ring off, things might get ugly.

I had to remove it recently to avoid marring (not marrying) some leather and it had been on so long I had to oil it off and on again.
Very strange sensation without it and I didnt realise how often I stick my thumb on it until it was off.
I have a signet ring on my right hand that I always have to remove to shoot the action pistols since when double hand grippping it collides with the wedding ring and makes gripping difficult/uncomfortable. My wife doesnt care so much about that one!
Do many guys were fingerless gloves when shooting the rifles a lot?

You can’t buy a single airgun for everything. Golfers use many different clubs, airgunners need more than one gun

Electronic technicians also aren't supposed to wear one either but I wore one for twenty-five years.
Never had an issue with it.

I was installing a kitchen upper cabinet with my brother who had had some wine..he got very manly and heave hoaed it jamming my finger between the wall and cabinet...and my ring (which is rather line a section of pipe) took the damage and nnt my knuckle. The next trick was trying to get it round again enough so I could get it off and have it fully re-rounded.....glad I had it on then.

Never wore it when installing cable in and around cable tray and in tight racks as it kept getting caught.

I have had one for over 26 years and never damage my gun's in anyway. But I'm a lefty finaly a advantage LOL.

I have been a mechanic for over 20 years and I wear my ring everyday, but some time if i need to lift something heavy I take it off, but it goes
right back on since I fell nakid.
