I am going to run a batch of tubes again before spring comes. Anyone interested in a 4130 tube or stainless tube for a QB or 22xx platform?

I am imagining a 2260 tube I can thread a bulk adapter into and run 3k psi in...
That is, a 2260 tube extended 7 inches with triple disco valve pin holes.
Is this something that would be a simple mod to the build or crazy talk É
I like the ideer of no roll stamp letters and 4130.
Otherwise spec of 2260 - cost for such a tubule É
My question mark has turned into É

Definitely 2260 length tube to so we can exceed 500fps!

Put me down for the 4130 in full length XX.

I have a D/V tube for the QB/AR, and it's top notch work...

Regards,

Doc Sharptail

my qb78 with the D/V tube. extremely happy with this low cost pcp. (under 200$) think i would like a small tube for a 2240 so i could have a crosman silhouette PCP type of pistol, with a 10" .177 barrel. will the tube have about the same shot count?(50 shots under 499fps)

I should have asked (a little clearer) the same question.
What would a replica 2260 tube cost:
1) in 4130
2) in stainless
3) in 24 inch 4130
4) in 24 inch stainless
5) with added valve pinning holes for a disco valve

3-4 for that 24 inch barrel added volume matchup.

I typically replicate the Discovery tube in any custom length, so the Discovery valve can be dropped in.
Stainless costs me more, but I do not have to blue it. 4130 is cheaper, but the polishing and bluing takes time. I charge the same for both, pressure ratings are the same.

Any thoughts of experimenting with something less mainstream, and currently untapped/unique in the marketplace?
How about a full length 13XX tube(rifle length) with >2X FTP stroke length?. . . . .
Or even better, a 22XX diameter tube, set up with a checked front valve half, and adjustable FTP. . . . .
Sorry to be talking MSP in your PCP thread. . . . .

The 2100/2200 tube and pump linkage already does that Vagrant or the 140/1400 for even more stroke. Crosman stamps them out for way less than I can cut them. People have tried the 3/4" ID tube instead of the 5/8" ID tube and found it very hard to pump at the end.

The biggest thing about the 4130 (chrome moly) and 304 (stainless) tubes, is they offer 3000psi and 2786psi working pressure, respectively.
If you simply want a tube without the roll stamps, this isn't the inexpensive option. If that is what you desire, I can look into it.
The Industry Brand tubing is thinner and an upgrade to 4130 is a huge difference. The Crosman tubes have almost the same dimensions, just get better safety margins.
I have made these tubes from 10" (2250 length) to 36" long. Most people request a custom fill adapter pinned like the Discovery valve, others opt for a Discovery fill adapter. Both will take a Discover fill cap cover and take any 1/8" NPT fitting.
