I seem to be getting lots of cold steel knives to work with....this was for a fella out near Campbellford.
At his request it was made so the blade could go in for left or right had carry.

Damn nice Murray!!
If you had time you should make two to three sheaths every time you bring in a knife! I am sure you make a paper or cardboard copy to make further ones!

You know all that! i am just talking out loud!

Rick
I have certainly thought about it but I am so backed up that I just do the order but I do keep the patters I make of the blade shapes so I have that if I ever wanted to try another for a particular knife. I made a bayonet sheath on a wooden mock up once just from photos and dimensions which worked well but it was an almost symmetrical blade so that helped.
I didn't win the lottery this weekend so this will have to remain a part time gig for now.......
Happy Easter all and good evening.

Gents I recall that you may be able to buy a basket weave tool for wood burning kits or even wood stamping.
I will look into it and get back to you.
I was actual toying with cutting down an extra weave tool I have and seeing how much of an impression I can make on wood. You may need to steam the wood first much as I case or wet the leather to soften it.
Perhaps I will do a little experiment this week to next weekend and see what I can get happening on wood.
