I love the idea, in fact one of my stock designs was for a leather covered comb and pistol grip. The idea was to streach the leather over the comb and drill holes through to tie the leather on with thong and beads and maybe feathers dangling from the end of the thong. I like the two tone leather, but am concerned the join between them is right on the cheek.
I love your way with leather. Great idea.

Joe,
This is built as requested to literally set the chin on so the joint isn't going to touch the shooters cheek. A chin rest versus cheek rest/piece. There are other patterns where the "pad" and the wrap meet in such a way that you can rest your check on the side of the stock cover.
If the shooter doesn't like it we built till they do.
So many cool ideas and so little time to make stuff!!
