No but I renewed a hate for gun clerks and gun buyers with all the wanna be para military bs
Zero interest in any other customers, sick of waiting so left and informed clerks of my displeasure. I will NOT spend another dollar there if I can help it

Not only that, but anymore you can't find a nice Colt Lightning, Burgess, M76 Winchester, Ballard or Sharps on a gun rack anywhere - what the heck has happened to our sport? I'm with Walter - the blackplasticpos have ruined everything - EVERYTHING, I SAY! :wink:

A difference in generations. Poly is in and wood is out. Shamefull isnt it.
But the end result is the sport of shooting is still progressing forward. At least here in the west, IMO.

Hey guys -I think it's important that we don't crap on fellow shooters unless they're dangerous or breaking the law. I'm an old guy and have no interest in paramilitary stuff, but those young'uns are what is keeping many of the LGS's afloat. Let's save the criticisms for the arseholes we find on the range occasionally.

It usually the dip-sticks out in the boonies blasting away as fast as they can pull the trigger!

There were a couple of those guys at the range on the weekend. They had SKS's modded with modern military-style stocks and were blasting away so fast it's very doubtful they hit the target they set up at 100 yards. I've got nothing against SKS rifles, just the Rambo-wannabees who blast away for volume.

It certainly gives a bad impression to spectators - makes them VERY uneasy, me too.

I visited this store a few weeks back. Nutnfancy really, same old overpriced stuff. Staff was friendly and I like the fact they have an archery range upstairs, though not the greatest selection.

Picked up a Remington 700 SPS Varmint in .22-250 - 26" bl. - so far - 40 Barnes Varminator HP's, 50 TSX, 55 Speers SP and 62gr. HP Nosler Varmegeddons, all running under .6" @ 100 meters (only one group shot at 210yards - 1.65" {.786 moa})- wonder what it will be like when it gets 'broken in'? HA!- happy camper so far and maybe whitetail deer hunter this fall - ie: 50gr. TSX.
My .17AH was a bit "light" for deer.
Some gun shops are OK, Walter.
