I still like my Steyr, I did change the hamster to RAW 1000's hamster. It has a nice wooden shelf, but is very adjustable.

Like it, I don't love it yet.

Know a few that have bought them RAW ones, returned had their money back.
Its yet another case of producing an item and not knowing or responding to what shooter wants.

Theres a massive difference between designing and making something to developing and producing from a shooters perspective. The aftermarket is littered with sub rate stuff like that perhaps about 90%.

If your non the wiser you wont know any different.

What a coincidence that you refer to RAW as "sub rate stuff" -- just when someone here in the "colonies" gets one. If you would deign to tell us, without getting dizzy from your lofty perch, what is it that shooters do want?

In the very first pic on this thread, it appears the bbl goes right, and the scope goes left...
Anyone else notice? Perhaps scope not completely mounted?

I can pull myself away from this stuff quite easily- far enough out of my price range to do so

Yes Doc took me a while to notice.
Might be a cock up by leaving the barrel sleeve a little too long and not ending flush whilst looking at that angle. Its almost impossible to get it to veer off that much, barrel ends roughly where first slots are and barrel fixed and centred in the untouched A frame.

Peenage the after sales is full of stuff like that designed by engineering companies and the like that have no knowledge of what the shooters want. If a shooter designs something from the perspective of usability its usually too hard and not cost effective to produce.
Stands to reason no one in their right mind wants excessive drop when closed up, excessive width and weight, hardly rocket science just common sense.

Good design better than 90% out there but as above too wide and too heavy. Most of the others are marketed as fully adjustable when they are not the lock up is on preset positions, so if want to adjust 5 to 10 degrees you cant.
