That was a great video, thanks.

If you used pure lead - swaged round balls from Hornady or Speer, the weight would be slightly higher than the 133gr. hardened cast balls Erik used.

Too, since they'd be running about 950fps, they'd expand and put out the VERY SAME POWDER as the Walker and Dragoon Colts of 1848 through 1860.
Those handguns were the MOST popular for "running buffalo" - that is: riding up alongside them with your horse, and shooting the buffalo at point blank range - with round ball or the 200 slugs in use at that time. "A man with a .44 Colt had 6 Buffalo at his belt".

Do I condone shooting buffalo with these Air Force air rifles - or one of the Colt, revolvers? NO! Use a modern rifle - .45/70 or .50/70 is perfect, like my Sharps.

Would I hunt deer, smaller black bear, coyotes, wolves or smaller game with this air rifle - absolutely - with round balls (more than sufficient) or perhaps up to a 250gr. slug.

Yeah, poor attempt at humor. I try it once a year, usually doesn't work out for me :-(.
But seriously, 500 ft/lbs, the thing is a monster. Maybe if I have a really good blueberry crop........

I sat down and watched the "Texan" video, then another 30 AirForce Talon videos on YouTube! That website is a brain sucker! However it did give me a few ideas.

Possibly making a few black Delrin end cap/muzzle brakes, instead of the plain old end cap for the short barrel rifles and Talon P. I guess the Talon P is an RPAL in Canada. Bought have not seen Talons offered for sale, just the Condor or Edge 10m rifle.

Talons kinda when away a few years ago. The quest to power deemed longer bbls. And as bbls could be bought seperatly, made better business sense with the Condors longer frame tube.....But then this is JMO

Didn't notice the recoil. This is recoil. A bit over 500fpe, though. 482gr. at 1,550fps. Normally, 2,572fpe does not make an elephant rifle, however this one is, elephant, buffalo and tigers - fpe only tells a very small portion of the 'killing power' story.

lol...I bet that's got some recoil Daryl...when I said recoil I wasn't talking knocking your shoulder off recoil...
Im talking pcp and was just comparing it to the talon looks like way more recoil to me.
but if you really want to see recoil, ....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Yj4IL0Q754
