Sure, I'll play. This is the only 2240 I've had so far. It uses a HiPAC with a single extension tube, running at 3,000psi. Pretty much everything in it is modified extensively. There are some African rosewood grips, carved a bit after buying from D&L. Carved the forearm out of a dollar store rolling pin. Made a velcro'd on neoprene spare pellet holder for 6 more shots. There is an RVA thanks to rrdstarr. I can adjust that through a cut-out in the 3/4" aluminium tube stock. Thee's a 3/4" aluminum tube shroud over the 18" Crosman .22" barrel. Burris mounts hold a Simmons 4x rifle scope. I made a steel hollow probe, delrin transfer port, modified the valve for more efficient flow. Added a Robert Lane 'Lancet' regulator recently fixing pressure in the valve and plenum at 800psi. The trigger/sear setup is heavily modified, reducing the pull to something like 400grams of memory serves. It's easy anyway, thanks to much improved leverage. The side plate is aluminum, a product from Derek Vineyard I have thanks to my good friend Rick. Steel Crosmsn breech. Canvas micarta bolt knob I made. Magnetic probe retention so the bolt doesn't fall forward and make loading awkward. And of course a custom Krylon spray bomb paint job. I'd use the Rustoleum stone texture paint if I do it again as it's tougher.

Name? I call it "2240.“ I have a 2260 now as well. Someone else converted it to HPA. I've done some further mods, but far from finished. I call that one... "2260."

Friction. It fits lightly. The upper lips of the cutout touch the 3/4" shroud. Could have attached it somehow but didn't see the need. There is a tiny square of maple glued to the back of it as a spacer to prevent it sliding back towards the grip, necessary because the rolling pin was slightly too short.

Brilliant-nice job,guys.
My "best" 2240 is below. Not a rifle, but well-tuned and accurate...

Mine started as a 2240 but changed to a 2260 tube. Brass Adjustable trigger kit and adjustable sear. 18" .177 barrel. Hollow probe bolt. Joe Hickey stock. Black muzzle brake. Steel breech. Hawke Varmint 3-12x44mm scope. Medium profile scope rings. Added a second barrel band. This gun is non pal, I get a lot of shots from one 12 gram co2 cart and the trigger is very nice for a 22xx 13xx. I still want to add a brass extended handle, I might have to get someone to make one for me. I also need to order a rva. Maybe after that I will be done but it seems like a continuous project.

Yeah, you can say that again. Kind of an addiction. I must have said to myself and even to a friend or two "there, finally done" at least 3 or 4 times. I haven't actually modified anything on my 2240 for at least a month now, so maybe it is at last really 'done.'

Crosman 2240, (plastic breech) trigger shoe, rear velocity adj, ext probe, lighter trigger spring, polished, no side slop, valve pinned, 870 Remington stock wood grips, valve work done, 14" barrel, hammer spring clipped for under 500 fps.

My go to gun for knocking cans down!

:)
