Not sure what you mean by heart of fill Ariel, can you re phrase so I don't give you wrong info?

Hi Robert,

That's the pressure where the shot string is at its flattest when you graph it, and hence should be the most consistent given all things equal. I am looking at a scorpion SE and maybe modding it for a more tamer report.

Hope this helps.

Ariel

I would say from 220 bar down to 140 bar is where my rifle shoots the best, close range shots I could go lower maybe.

I bought something for my Scorpion SE a Huma regulator and also made a simple device called a Blast Tamer. Huma reg for shot to shot consistency and the Blast Tamer for reduced hammer bounce for more shots and lower noise level.
Here is a pic of the Blast Tamer device and installation on rifle. Gave it a quick bluing to blend in better. I will give some results after testing .
Thanks to Rkr on GTA for the idea.

I have some results from the Huma reg, Blast Tamer combo. I went from 35 shots with the Huma reg to 44 shots adding the Blast Tamer, very nice improvement. This is the first test so more shots might be had, but for now I am going to just enjoy shooting my Scorpion SE as is. I could also go for 30 higher power shots, nice to have the choice.
If anyone wants more info just ask. First pic is a shot string with the Huma reg and second pic with the combo. I used CPM's for testing, I normally use AA 16's which have a lower ES.

I missed your posts guys, sorry about that. Thanks, most groups are around 3/8" to just under 1/2 ". Still think I can get a 1/4" group if the conditions are perfect.

My latest string with a 1.6mm hammer spring I bought from XTX Air, regulator removed to compare with stock rifle when new. Things must be breaking in , I gained more fps and higher fpe.
Preload on HS backed all the way off.

Strings are with Benj. HP 14.3gr, 26.4fpe, ES - 30fps. Start pressure 3300, end pressure 2250psi roughly, read off Hill pump guage.
Put a couple other pellets I had through to see where they were at.
AA 16's - 870fps, 27fpe
H&N Barracuda 21gr - 777fps, 28fpe

Rifle when new. Rifle now with Blast Tamer and 1.6mm spring.

My latest string with my Scorpion SE .22. Unregulated.
I am using the 18 grain H&N Sniper Magnum pellets, they shoot well out of the Scorpion.
The best efficiency so far using the Sniper Magnums, no change to the rifle.
