My wife sent this to me. Maybe a hint that I should help a little more around the house.

So this retired guy sits around the house all day his wife says to him you could do something useful, like vacuum the house once a week. Guy gives it a moments thought and says, sure why not show me to the vacuum. Half an hour later the guy comes into the kitchen to get some coffee. His wife says, I did not hear the vacuum running I thought you were using it ? Exasperated man answers the stupid thing is broken, it wont start we need to buy a new one. Really, she says. Show me. It worked fine the last time. So he did

Holy Sheet! That was embarrassingly funny! I know a few old guys like that!

Probably the same reverse rules I don't let my wife use any of my tools, electrical, pneumatic or otherwise!

Good joke - I put it up on Nitroexpress forum:

I agree, Rick - my wife has her own tool kit, electric drill, drills, hammers, screw drivers and we have a communal impact driver. She has her own fix-it book and does all the electrical wiring repairs around the house as needed. Electricity is not my friend. :rolleyes:

I do okay with everything actually. Father-in-law helped me a lot learn to do framing, plumbing, electricity, flooring, cabinetry and hanging sheetrock. Only thing I contracted was a company to get all the walls, corners and ceiling sanded for me. Hayley and I purchased a house, gutted it, moved some walls, and added a room above the garage. Bought it the year before got married. I would come up every weekend from Tacoma, WA and the three of us would work on it. Took almost two years working on it part time, but we did finish it six months after I got all my paperwork to come and live and work in Canada! :D

Hayley has her own toolbox with her tools. She uses my DeWalt Cordless drill and that is it! Otherwise I do the work for her!

Classic and the opposite of the chainsaw "Hey!! What's that noise?" joke. Definitely passing this one on to men who will appreciate it.

It's common knowledge that in matrimony, most things become "ours", except;

a) feminine products and;
b) my tools

My tools are MINE and the things I build and fix with them are HERS....and I'm perfectly fine with that.
