had a lil extra time , so i did a couple new builds this spring .
after building my last pumper (straight pump .30cal) and having awesome success , i was thinking i should build a new lever action and a pumper with a lever
the lever action , 7 shot , 30cal has been fully tested and works better then i could have imagined . i started converting some of my older guns to have a ssg , so this has a ssg built into it , very consistant , 14 shots and it only drops 200psi over the 14 , steady at about 860-880f/s . the gun was built to start at 2400psi , after 21shots it stays above 2000psi . the shot count is helped by the extra long barrel :)

the pumper is built from extra heavy tube for the pump and a stainless steel valve assembly . 11'' stroke at .63 '' builds pressure very quick . i went with a .8 to .9ci valve ...which a about the size my other pumper uses and got around 80fp . ive not tested this full ...yet . but so far it is working well . stock is a bit ruff . the bolt has a detent in it and locks it in place and allows it to be pulled straight out and back to load then push forward and back in . this keeps it from hitting on the hammer cocking bolt .
im sure i will keep it a pumper but the pump can also be removed by simply unskrewing it and a air tube can be skrewed on in its place .(only 8 ci of air tho unless i make new rings for the barrel )

thanks . i put the pumper thru some tests this morning for power . no problem to get over 80 fp . 80 gr going near 700f/s ,and this is with my hammer spring not heavy enough . i was suprized . i figured i had a spring and hammer strong enough to open 2500 psi easy ..... but i need a better one so i think i can get 90fp easy maybe 100 . at 10 pumps it is getting 45fp .
getting some sights finished up today for some target shooting .

maybe i'll lend a few lever actions out Plinker .

Maybe not the best groups you ever shot, but at least you got out shooting....which is more than I've been able do this year :(

Very nice builds as usual, Collin...great work! 8)

finished up the .30 pumper a few days back , have not had the time latly to work on it , but did get it all done , sighted in yesterday some what . been so windy here it is un real . so no true result to post . at 120 feet it hits well , i assume with no wind it will do 1 ragged hole , next wind free day i will have a go at 300+.
wish the wood could have been a lil darker but it looks ok , went with industrial brand back sight , and finally got the front made and fitted nice .

Really nice rifles. Any pics from the beginning to the end of the builds? Always interested in how they are made.
