Hi all,

Does anyone know?

Did Umarex discontinue the Walther PPK/S? Every retailer seems to be out of stock?

Any insight would be much appreciated.

Best,

Keith.

That'd be too bad, because the PPK is an awesome little can roller.

It would however, make the one I do have(not for sale), just a little bit more desirable, in the unlikely event that I should change my mind. . . .

And really, I wouldn't mind one more. I'll have to keep my eye peeled. . . . :(
Good Luck!

FYI -

According to Pyramyd Air, Sales & Service dept.:

"Yes, Umarex discontinued it due to some manufacturing issues. We've heard they're working on a new model but don't have any more info than that as far as when it's supposed to be released."

The old model is discontinued.
There is a new version, without the external screw on the bottom of the grip,
seems to be about the only change.
Due out before the end of the year.

Ohhh...I might have to buy one of those.
We have a couple of the current (guess they are not current if they are discontinued), and as was stated, great little back can rollers out at the farm or shooting in the basement. The only downside was that screw on the bottom...made such a realistic looking gun look like it came from the dollar store.
If it is essentially the same gun sans screw...I'll be picking up a couple of 'em.

Very interesting. If it has a shorter grip and higher velocity than its predecesor i may consider picking one up when its released.

There's a few videos from the 2016 Shot Show that feature the 2016 model; it's exactly the same as the older version, except is doesn't have that big knob screw on the bottom, that's it. Grip length is the same, etc....

Yes same basic gun, but You know how it goes with collectors and older variations!
Grab one if you have the opportunity?
I've got the nickel one, so i'll pick up a black one when the new version comes out.

Is the Umarex PPK/S basically the same size as the Makarov? Or is the PPK/S slightly smaller overall? I've looked at comparison pics online and they look to be about the same size? Can someone confirm?

Cheers,

K.

I thought they were horribly inaccurate, slow, horrible tolerances, cheap mag... not a good air pistol by any measure... But I admit they looked very cool and were visually a good replica.

If they made the tolerances better and increased the FPS by a bit I would give it another try.
