I consider it an accurate 'plinking' pistol. But my own semi-rested 'groups' at 6m are unimpressive

But then I have seen very little as to how other owners are grouping with their pistol, so I will not be overly too hard on myself

Has anyone tried a longer barrel ,like 8"" or more . This might get the pistol closer to the max allowed by law . I have an itch for one just to modify.

Thank-you for posting this link. I had it bookmarked myself but its good to keep it fresh on owners minds in case the part fails.

This is a very bad thread, it made me follow up on the CP88 comp and of course watch all the associated Youtubes then read all the reviews I could find.
I wasted countless hours living vicariously through every ones experiences remembering what fun I used to have with my pistols when my eyesight was younger.
Of course also with age comes wisdom and being practical I left the thought alone and being more frugal now I couldn't help bookmarking a site that had a returned CP88 on sale, I even went through the exercise of checking out the price delivered but it was thankfully too expensive. How ever as I checked out this thread again I remembered that bookmark and after clicking it came into focus the price had dropped another $30 wow, I'm expecting it on Wednesday, thanks! I got mine today, it is better built than I imagined but then again I'd never seen or handled one of these CO2 repeaters before.

I just had to tighten a few screws, the trigger isn't to bad either way but I prefer single action. the shiny spot in the slide is oil.
I tried some cheap Beeman wadcutters and then some Daisy hollow points and then some equally cheap Czech domes from Forest city surplus.
These are typical first strings from fresh caplets 8-10 seconds between shots.
Czech Diablo domes

473
459
445
434

Beeman Wadcutters

469
451
435
440
429

I would say I probably averaged 30-35 shots before it dropped below 400fps, a second string in double action started at 445 and ended at 382 with 2 seconds between shots.
I was shooting 10yds and it is plenty accurate for me I won't say what the group sizes were because they are only a statement of my poor marksmanship.
Great pistol, hope it lasts.

Was that a new model you bought? I thought they were blued, as D&L has the blued models. Looks great.

As far as I know it's new looks the same as DL's, they are called blued but they aren't. It's a tough finish what ever it is. No regrets.

The newer finish is the black powder coated style, the Shiny Blued version hasn't been available for some time.

Hey where do we order part from for a CP88?

I went plinking yesterday with my 953 and CP88, gave it a fresh cart - took it out later to use and the rear sight unit - gone. :x

Found a few USA places to order parts - one place wanted $25 USD for the rear sight & screw + $15 USD for shipping = $40 USD

A few places in the U.K. were more reasonable = $16 CND  So I ordered from the $16 CND place.

Less than half of what USA wanted...
