The old Schmidt Ruben worked a treat! The 7x5x55 is an excellent round. A friend of mine carries one now and then as his back-up when guiding- just for fun. His is an exceptional shooter, accuracy wise.

With the match /military ball 1/2" with irons easy.I only took off a minor amt adding a steel side mt and a fixed 6X Leupold.I call it my $400 Rolex as they had SIG or Hamerelli barrels. The k31's have a short throat/lead specifically for the GP11 ammo , so handloaded bullet seating depth will vary....I'll post a hunting load for your buddy .....Harold
