I'm new to FX products and just picked up a new regulated FX Royale 500.

There is less than 250 pellets through the rifle but I thought I would take advantage of the mild 32F weather to shoot some strings over the Chrony.

With JSB 33.95s I am getting an average across 8 strings of L 763; H 783; A 774; ES 19.5; SD 6.17. I was expecting an ES less than this but think that would improve as the rifle breaks in.

I would appreciate any comments as I have no idea if these numbers are high, low or typical for a new regulated FX.

Thanks,
Hank

Hi Hank,
Congratulations on the new .25 cal rifle. Those numbers do seem high for a regulated PCP. Try different makes and weights of pellets as they can often produce very different numbers from each other over the chronograph.

Hi Glenn,

Thanks, I am real pleased with the FX as the .25 fills the last gap in my airsonal.

From reply's I received on an other forum, the Chrony numbers I got are reasonable for PCP that new and will improve as the hammer/regulator settle in. Being out in the cold probably didn't help either.

I will post stats and info for anyone interested in the FX after it is settled in. Overall, first impressions are good though I have to admit that I have been spoiled by the HW100 magazines and find the FX ones a bit of a nuisance to load.

Hank

Did you clean the barrel? It makes a big difference in a new rifle.

Yes, had done that - thanks! That is easy to forget in the excitement of shooting a new rifle :-)
