Thanks Gippeto and FRANK,
Eric is out of stock for 16mm LW barrels now.

All dealers for LW doesn't keep airgun barrels and if I order one I have to wait monts.... 6 or more ...even 12....and some will wait for a big quantity - 60 barrels at least to order them from LW. I have experience with some of them in the past for centerfire barrels.
I was looking for a place with LW barrels in stock.

Thanks again
Borislav

Wonder if there would any in doing a group buy of some sort . I know the import of any gun related stuff from the states is getting harder by the day. I would be interested in a couple barrels myself . I think I would prefer to go with TJ's barrels because of the available twist rates in just about any caliber.

I need two LW barrels - one .22 cal for QB78 and one .177 for a springer.
I prefer LW barrels because they are "Match" barrels and I need accuracy. For me accuracy is obsession
I will be interested in a group buy but we need a person who has documents and experience...

Is there laws restricting the import of airgun barrels throu the border lines? Lets say you go in and out yourself

Importing into Canada, no.... Exporting from the USA, YES, it's bigtime illegal unless you have a permit from Homeland Security (big $).... same thing goes for Optics.... Don't try and take (or send) a scope out of the USA, if you get caught, you are in big trouble.... You can thank 9-11 for this.... Barrels and Scopes rate right up there with Gen 4 Night Vision, 5-axis Mills (for making props for submarines) and Nukes....

Actually, I think it's the seller who would be in trouble, yes? Nothing wrong with receiving them at this end.

If the barrel is being shipped, the seller is in jeopardy.... although that is no guarantee that as the purchaser you might not be on a watch list in the USA.... If, as was the case in the question I was answering, you are bringing it across the border yourself, then YOU are the one exporting it from the US.... It is that act that is treated as a potential transfer of terrorist materials to a foreign country.... The rules are called ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).... you can investigate them if you care to become informed....

Permits are available, for justifiable end use.... The last price I heard was $380 USD per shipment (per a conversation I had with LW), obtainable from the US Dept. of State.... I do not know if that amount is current....

"as the purchaser you might not be on a watch list in the USA" - exactly. If bringing it back in yourself & get stopped - might find you are a 'foreign' smuggler. All guesses. Might try ALL the Canadian gun barrel importers first.

I have a local friend, licensed importer of firearms 'parts' who has contacts and deals with companies in Germany - perhaps he can make inquiries? Getting firearms parts out of the USA is quite difficult now.
