I haven't seen their airgun stocks, but the ones that come on Savage rimfire guns are beautiful.

I've used a few of Boyd's stocks on Mausers - my daughter's .260 and a re-stocking of a .338 Mag. for a friend in Smithers.

The stocks I used were 90%'ers- needed very little inletting, mostly barrel channel and some wood removal on the outside as they were a bit beefy.

Wonderful quality, though. Ruger appears to use Boyd's stocks for their laminates, maybe other makers as well, but not sure on that. They sure look it.

Used to be about $125.00 landed her in PG.- I expect they might be $160.00 to $175.00 now.

HW97 Thumbhole stocks are $385.00 for BEECH, of course, come with butt plate, checkering and finished - bolt-on!

Just checked a few - $129.00 for finished stock for Mauser. Be about $210.00 I suspect, landed.

I just bought one for my discovery. 129.00 plus 58.00 to ship then a 73 cent dollar put it at grand total of 256.00
A bit expensive and a little more than I was prepared to pay so I'm hoping it worth while.
Form what I see on u tube they may need to be beded in. Never tried that before so I'm hoping that's not the case.

That sounds more realistic, Cougar - An open ladder sight form my 1876 Winchester I recently bought from Brownell's, listed at $169.00 was just shy of $300.00 landed here.
Back in the 70's, we figured double the US asking price for landed here cost.

I ordered my stock on the 14th and it cleared customs this morning. Should have it in a couple days. Can't wait!

My stock was sitting at the door when I got home today. I think I'm really going to like it.

Oh, thats purty :) Always been a sucker for laminate...many moons ago, before synthetics, I always got them both for looks and stability in rough hunting conditions like damp weather. I have a HW77 in forest green and a 97 in blue laminate but that stock of yours looks JUST as nice :)

Stable as a good bridge foundation! Like the lams a lot. The Salt and pepper version are what I've used, in the Jon Sundra Classic Mauser. I do like that thumbhole - VERY nice camo version, multi-colour.

Glass bedding, free floating barrel, laminate stock...unbeatable combo imho. Synthetic stuff is great on assault type weapons and for folks like an Alaskan guide who values *function over form...but give me "some" form of wood any day on a nice rifle.

* Or where required like a Winchester 1300 stainless marine defender, etc etc.

EDIT: On his stock above, although I know its there for a reason, the straight line thumb hole is just a "bit" much for me but that is a personal preference and no way I'm saying anything negative about that lovely stock!!
