I saw here: http://www.network54.com/Forum/665650/t ... iew+Thread that some peoples ''bake'' their valve to help the stem conform to the seat to seal better. HTH

What I assume, I took the bottle off being its only regg'ed to 850 PSI, hooked up a fitting and pumped it with my hand pump and managed to get a leak else wheres. So guessing the disco stem isn't sealing enough at 850 PSI.

Bad luck! Have you tried soapy water to locate the leak?

I'm going to try one of the 2240 valve stems I got.

Use this idea to lap the seat in the valve body.... A small octagon of 400 grit sandpaper mounted on the poppet with double-sided sticky tape....

Image

Grip the stem of the valve in a portable electric drill and pull gently.... run it forward and reverse for a few seconds, a couple of times, and inspect.... You should have a uniform dull band on the valve seat.... If there is a gap, or notch, repeat until there isn't.... Then remove the sandpaper, and repeat the lapping, just with the poppet.... You want to see a uniform shiny circle on both the poppet and seat....

I've never seen one leak once you get to that point....

Please don't use that gun until you support the bottle properly.... If you drop it, you could end up with two missles....

Thanks, I'm only working with CO2 pressure to try and seat the valve stem. I just got a piece of wood in between and a hose clamp on it for now.

I tried baking it and it didn't seal. I twisted the valve stem around and did get it to seal so my guess is I need to lap it now. Or put the 2240 seal back in.

The disco valve stem doesn't like to seal on the lower pressure, so I cut the piercing knob off one of my 2240 and it works. No more leak.

I happened to find a scope base for my mauser that makes a perfect tank spacer.

When I head out I'll get a hose clamp.

How is your project going? I was wondering, does the 2260 tube have to have any slots cut longer etc to fit the 2240 trigger frame?

Waiting for a optic, to sling more pellets over the chrony.

No mods needed to fit a 2240 trigger frame.

Need an adapter so I can fill it easier with the Scuba tank. Pumping is getting old for testing.

I've got one of those remote coiled lines with a Asa on off, but it's the screw turn on off. It does have the slide check though, so it could work maybe? I don't have a scuba tank, so never looked at fill lines before. You're welcome to it if that would work.

No problem, But thanks anyways. I got a AV remote coil with ASA, also a benjamin PCP fill adapter ( from bottle to gun ) just no scuba tank adapter. Went to order one from the Airgun Store, But none in stock after I ordered. Guess I can order from badland paintball.

Being I don't want to wait over a month from China.
