I have the KWC Tac version....my rear sight is loose and I can't tell if you use a allen key or did a screw fall out?

Yes - the picture isn't sharp enough (clear) to show whether you need an Allen key, or if a tiny screw fell out- probably the former. Close, but not quite. Look like it might be an allen screw head.

Magnifyers will help - about + 4 diopter glasses from a pharmacy- I always have a pair in my fly fishing box for hitting the eye of small flies with the tippet. They are good to have in the shop if you don't have a head-set magnifier glasses.

Canadianguy,

If it is like other KWC 1911s, that just 'looks' like an allan key screw but is actually molded into the sight.

Take a look at the diagram here: http://www.kwc.com.tw/images/MANUAL/KMB-77.pdf

The sight Z37 is held on by screw E04 from below. Unfortunately, the blow-back system must be removed to get at it.

Loctite is your friend!

Hope this helps.

So it's not actually a adjustable sight? You have to take the blowbackr to tighten it?

Canadianguy,

You are welcome.

I am not sure why it is done that way. Perhaps due to there being no support under the dovetail other than the blow-back breech.

Watch for the nozzle spring (S02)!
And don't lose the floating valve (P08).

And yes, have fun!

I just figured it out how to take the blow back box out. There is a small allan key bolt right where the hammer hit's....easy peasy....:)

Thanks

I'm just bringing this post back because the link up top is dead! I can't find how to take the blowback out, I know and I see the little spring. But I'm baffled....I didn't put any loctite last time. But will this time

There is a little spring there,I'm not sure if that's all I need to take out or take out the bolt in front of the hammer?

Getting old bad memory lol

Canadianguy,

Sorry, missed seeing your updated past a couple weeks ago.

Here is an updated link: https://www.kwcgun.com/img/manuals/AAKCMB770AZB%20(K08-00708-M3).pdf

Yes, take out the bolt in front of the hammer. Once that Allen head machine screw (EA083) is out, You should be able to lift the blowback block (Z20) out of the slide. Again, watch for the spring!

Feel free to PM me if you like.

Cheers!
