That's an interesting build, and some nice shooting with good power.
Not too surprised by what you've found with dialling down the RVA- excessive noise on the firing cycle is an indicator of wasted air.
Can almost tune for this by ear~ at least in .177, by finding where the sound changes from hollow boom to a sharp crack...

That's really open country there! Good luck for calm winds.

Thanks Ross! It is pretty open. Think I lost my spot to shoot tonight, some people with dogs came on my kids and I when I was shooting an 80 yard target just before dark, and they weren't too happy to find us there. Guess I'll be looking for a different spot. Sure miss the farm!

Last night all I got a chance to do was find the target and shoot two shots on it at 80 yards before we had to leave. Lol, this will probably be my best group ever at this range and with only two shots was probably luck of the draw[emoji4]
Still, it's fun to pretend that the gun just shoots this well! Especially since it may be my last time shooting for some time.
I'm jealous of all you guys with access to a nice 100 yard back yard range, or even 50[emoji4].
Anyway, some looking around should turn up a gravel pit somewhere.
Here is my lucky shots [emoji16]

Wish I had shooting out my backyard.

Closest to me is roughly an hour drive out. I think I've grown used to it.

Noticed that gravel pit days are always too short.
