Going to need more then a 177 and lucky to get 430 FPS, to hunt turkeys.

Problem is with the under 500 FPS, you wont get really enough energy to launch the pellet fast enough to kill a Turkey. You might be able to get starlings and smaller birds under 10M.

Turkeys you need over 12 FPE.

Please modify your expectations regarding hunting any animals with a 466 fps .177 pellet pistol.

As well it may be illegal to hunt ANY animals in your province with any air pistol.

In other words it is not recommended to hunt ANY animals with such a low powered air pistol.

That is a VERY BAD idea!

It may be ILLEGAL for you to hunt any animals in your province.

And your very weak pellet pistol may only inflict suffering and pain on any animal which you shoot at - which is NOT OK!

BTW - exactly how old are you?

And - what city do you live in?

 Likely a reason turkey's in season one has to use a shotgun with turkey shells! Even with a shotgun you shoot for the head. Very discussing one would even think about shooting a turkey with a pellet gun as a club we worked so hard to stock so we have the opportunity to hunt them. As yes, as above poster asks, unless one is 12 years old and knows no better. You shoot one I hope authorities come to your door as I would certainly report you. :(

As mentioned, in Ontario you need to hunt Turkey with a shotgun or bow, by law. They are not in season in Ontario at the moment.
You likely don't have a hunting license, or a clue of what hunting is about. If you think you can get that close to a turkey, and shoot it in the head with a pistol, you are delusional. Hopefully it doesn't maul you too bad with its spurs.

What will your mommy say when you bring home a turkey? Or are you just killing for fun? Will she help you pay the fines if you get caught?
Hunting out of season.
Hunting without a license.
Hunting without a turkey tag.
Hunting a turkey other than a shotgun.

You are a poacher. A poacher is a thief. Worse that a thief in my eyes.
Why not shoot tin cans, that is basically what that gun is good for.

When I was younger I used to try and shoot crows and pigeons with sub 500 FPS, I always had to take extra shots to actually kill them.

Now I don't bother for sub 500 FPS other then indoors shooting or plinking.

The OP is treading on thin ice by hunting with a low powered air pistol that will do nothing but inflict suffering. Since there's no location or formal intro from waxpants, it's hard to tell what area he/she is from, and the by-laws governing the hunting of small game in the OP's territory of residence.
In Ontario, in order to hunt wild turkey, you would require a wild turkey licence(Spring & Fall), small game licence tag, I believe a game seal, and an outdoor hunters card. On top of that, as mentioned before, you would need a shotgun.

In BC - hunting license + shotgun or rimfire rifle. It is illegal to hunt ANYTHING with a pistol or revolver - air, spring, string or powder.

NONE!
As explained to you. The vigilante is a lot of stuff but a hunting gun ain't one of them.

He hasn't been back since he first got negative responses the 1st evening.

I really doubt that he will be back - probably will just go ahead and cause an animal needless suffering and pain by attempting to kill said animal with his little pistol... :(

Unfortunately this is the case more often than not. Regrettably I can not say I was better in my youth.
