Guys,

Do anyone have the magazine conversion, on their QB-79 22 caliber AR?

If so how do you like it?

How much room is between the bottom of the barrel and the top of the air tube?

I am wondering if I will have enough room for full length LDC (with the barrel band removed),
I have to have a mouse f--t quite one, for hunting etc. :D

Tia,
Don

I have the auto indexing magazine made in Czech Republic and I love it. Very smooth and reliable, no jamming or binding. Got it at Scopes & Ammo, but you can get it cheaper direct from the guy who make them (Lukas I think). If you use a scope you'll need high-rise rings though.

Some pics and a small review: topic73909.html

I've got the same one, but from Lukas. Scopesandammo.com apparently did something to improve it, but mine works great as well. Innovative machining is making repeater breeches for these guns, as well as pcp tubes. Ron is the owner, great guy. His website is innovativemachining.ca

Well, the bolt on magazine adapters that we were both referring to are simply that, they just bolt on to the existing breech, which without a spacer system under the breech, wouldn't allow you to put that shroud on. Ron's breech is custom made for each gun so he'd make you one, but you'd have to send the gun and shroud to him.

There's only about 0.075''-0.080'' (a bit more than 1/16'') between the tube and barrel. If you want to install a shroud/LDC, I'm guessing you'll need to put a spacer between the breech and tube. HTH

P.S.: Just found the link that could be of some interest for you, have a look in the comments for how to reach Lukas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtnQA508rn8

Thanks guys,

I did not know that there was more than one type of magazine adapter for the QB series AR,
the one I was thinking of adds a new top end, action/bbl etc, that is higher and takes the clear type of mags,
10 shot IFRR.

I seen it a couple months ago while cruising the internet, but I can't remember where.

Tia,
Don

Here is one from archer airguns. It's 159.99 US, and includes a new barrel and and all needed to convert your gun to cock on open plus the breech of course with 10 shot marauder magazine. Never bought from them so I'm not sure if he ships to Canada or not.

I'd still recommend emailing Ron from innovativemachining.ca, as he'd give you a superb job for the same money or less.

His email is info@innovativemachining.ca, and his phone number is (780) 700-1040. He is in Alberta, by Edmonton.

Ah, just looked at your profile and you are in Nevada? Guess the archer website might be the best one for you

Here is the 3d printer plans for free for a qb79 riser for your breech to make a shroud possible. You'd just have to find someone with a 3d printer to make it, or pay someone I guess.
