Yep, 500fps is the limit unless you get a pal or firearms license. Pretty easy course, but can cost a fair amount depending where you live.

Welcome to the forum Trex5450!! I'm sure someone will chime in with some info on the Marksman Silver Kodiak. I've never heard of it.

That looks like a great deal! On sale $100 off regular price and you get two barrels. If I had the money I'd pick up one as well. Nice to have a springer, and that one says it has a two stage adjustable trigger.

This gun is actually a beeman silver kodiak dual barrel gun, not sure why Canadian tire is calling these and the QB78 a Marksman brand. Anyway looks like it has a lot of good reviews on other sites under the beeman name

Yes I found it on the Beeman site as well. I have another Q about it does the Ported muzzle brake on the barrel really do much because they have a different gun with out it for the same price. Plus it also has a wood stock and the metal is blued which looks better. They are both .177 and .22 with the same scope. Thanks for all the help guys.

The muzzle brake is mostly to give you a nice handle for breaking the the barrel. You could always buy one later if you find you would need it. Various places sell them. If you plan to keep it at 495fps, then it will be really easy to break open, so I can't see you missing it. I had a similar gun as a 10 year old that I'm sure was over 500fps and I never had trouble without a muzzle brake.

Did you pick up this gun? Kinda interested in hearing how you like it, if you did get it!

No I haven't picked one up yet im still kinda on the fence if I like the look and feel of it. Im not a real fan of the shinny barrel and the feel of the synthetic stock but the price is right.

Well I didn't get the Kodiak I went with a Benjamin Classic 22 from CTC at 495 fps with a 3-9x40 scope. Now all I need to do is get her broke in and the scope set.
