This Canadian Optimus doesn't shoot quite as well as my full power version but it still does okay considering the price. I think CanTire has them on sale this week for $152 with a cheapo CenterPoint 4X scope. I mounted a Leapers 3-9AO for more magnification and a more clear view.

My Cdn Opt has the 170mm piston, a new spring and shortened spring spacer to bring it to around 625fps. The spring is a Crosman B19-00-4B (33 coils, .118" wire). My goal was HW30S power for this rifle. It's nice for shooting indoors during the winter months.

Here is what I managed today at 30 and 40 yards. The air was calm for the first while and then a mild intermittent breeze increased the challenge. The lower velocity Optimus is noticeably more wind sensitive than my other example. I'll have to try it again on a dead calm day.

30-Yards --- 5-shot groups
H&N Sport - .85, .98, .81, 1.30, 1.18 --- Ave = 1.02" ctc

40-Yards --- 5-shot groups
H&N Sport - 2.20, 1.59, 1.45, 1.54 --- Ave = 1.70" ctc
RWS Hobby - 1.89, 1.92, 1.89, 1.72, 1.60, 1.48, 1.71, 2.02, 1.78, 1.90 -- Ave = 1.79" ctc
CPHP - 1.38, 1.67, 1.98, 2.08, 1.64, 1.71, 1.82, 1.63, 1.56, 1.91 -- Ave = 1.74" ctc

Notes:
> I ran out of the H&N Sport so I couldn't give a fair comparison. Gotta get more!
> I had a few CPHP pellets that had a loose or tighter fit so I tossed the shots rather than risking the groups
> This rifle doesn't like the JSB Exact like my full power Optimus prefers
> I polished the crown on this rifle and the lands & grooves sure don't look as sweet as the HWs and Dianas that I have owned. No surprise there!
> This rifle is still a good deal for the price.
