Can you return it and buy a Ruger Surge?
Maybe look for someone to trade your stock for a Surge stock.

Few days ago someone here was looking to trade his wood stock from an Airhawk with that of a Blackhawk - same gun but with a synthetic/lighter stock. Maybe put up a post asking to see if someone is willing to go that route.
Or try what Family Guy's Peter Griffin, a member here, has done by shaving the stock thinner. His main beef was with the bulky stock. He has pics of it here somewhere. Not sure how much lighter it became, but be warned: this is one beast of a heavy gun and I think the wood stock only contributes so much to that weight.

I don't mind the bulky stock, but I too have an issue with the weight. Reason why mine is a closet queen.
