I want to buy a new scope for the 1322 for a better shooting around 50 yards range...

So far, I am interested in the Bushnell Banner Dusk and Dawn Multi-X , 1.5-4x32mm.

But at the same time, I want to keep on using my Williams peep sight for the closer range, like 20 yards something.

So I planned to use a high profile hollow mount to mount the scope. So that in the closer range, I can see through the mount and using my peep sights. And while needed, I can use the scope for longer range...

So, here is the problem... do you guys think I can easily sight-in the scope with my P1322 (with steel breech dovetail mount) while I raised it that high? And I think after sight-in, the scope will be only good for this certain range, right? because actually 50 yard is very short for a normal usage range on a rifle scope and will have big tolerance on leverage especially the scope is about 3 to 4 inches higher than the barrel... But, 50 yards will be the range limits to my 1322, I don't think after flying for this far, the pellets from my 1322 can still have enough power to make some impacts...

Simple solution is to just get another 1322. Keep one open sights, scope the other. Problem solved.
To make it even better, it looks like Princess Auto has them on sale starting Tuesday for $89.99. They didn't list caliber, but the flyer says 460fps, which I believe is the rating for the 1322, the 1377 being <495fps.

Real problem will be finding a set of see thru rings that wont cause soo much of a tunnel vision that makes the peep sight useless.

Whats the point of getting a variable scope if you just going to shoot it 4x at 50? Why not just get a fixed 4x32?

I found that is very hard to find a scope just meet your need and in the acceptable price range...

Any good suggestion for a fixed 4x scope for me? Maybe I think 2x would be okay too. And the pistol scope is more difficult to find....

And would you please tell me more about the tunnel vision that would make the peep sight useless ? Should I get the mount first and test if the setup would cause the problem?

I picked the scope just for the brand name, price and the not.too big size... and the 1.5-4x is not the point I considered...

Having bought that scope, probably paid around 80$, plus its parallax for 100Y. Where a CP 4x32 is for 50. Making the variable useless really in a airgun. Because POA and POI is going to be different. Also with stuff in the way, all your going to see is what you can really see thru the small aperture. Be spending a lot of time trying to figure out where things are. Because your FOV be narrowed and tunnel vision. I have a few guns with Peep sights and aperture. Also shooting AR15s with fixed carrying handle and see thru mounts, They're not ideal.

Honestly I would have a scoped gun and than a peep sight one.

Yeah... so that's why I am still hesitate to place the order. .. it looks the scope is not really helpful and a must buy at the time. .. maybe I can just save this 100 bucks for other upgrades...

Bushnell Banner Dusk and Dawn is a powder burner scope. I could not a just it down for a pellet rifle so I put it back on my .22 rife. To work on a pistol you would need it two feet from your face. Maybe I am missing something?

His 1322 has a carbine stock on it.

Thank you for the clarification. Buy a pistol and add a stock and put a rifle scope on. I think I understand now. :P

I have the 45 degree offset in hand. But doesn't it look more strange then?

And it looks no 45 degree dovetail offsets right ? Didn't notice it before. So i will need to mount a dovetail to 20mm first, then 45 degree, then add the scope on it... Maybe the other way to make this 1322 more to my 'own'...

Oh, and is it difficult to sight in a scope on 45 degree offset? Never see ppl doing that before~
