I am finishing up my QB78 convert to regulated hpa, it will be a PAL rifle, planning to make it - somehow - for long range and Field shooting.
New to rifles, so I limited the expense to QB with diy upgrades, so this what I have and will be using for a while, this forum is a great help and I am hoping to make it work.
For now using 18 grain pellets for my build/testing. Also got myself a aliexpress 10-40x50 scope what is - not bad at all for now.
Missing a recommendation for heavier pellets to try.

I have been doing archery competition shooting for many years, FITA and Field, long ranges out to 90 meters. Along my learning curve I came up to the tip of the hill equipment in-and-outs, tons of money spent to get to a sponsored level and drawers full with medals.
My best scores were with small profile but heaviest FOC (front of center) arrows shot from a mid-high speed bows, 280 fps vs highspeed 330 fps.
Expecting similarities with a pellet projectiles as well

Morning Attila
I find that every QB barrel will decide that for you but I always had good luck with a 5.52 sized pellet under high pressure
try these!

Polymags have always shot well in all my QB's, I have a lot of different .22's so I will package up 25 of each brand I have and label them for you

Expect another package bud

Steve

Can't go wrong with JSB Exacts.... either the 14.3 gr., 15.9 gr. or the 18.1 gr....

Yep jsb seem best in mine with surprisingly the 14gr jsb grouping best at 50 yards in my particular Qb78.

I just don't know what we would do if JSB went out of business.
