Brilliant, and very cool idea, but....

I see no locking mechanism to hold the bolt forward on firing.... My guess is that if you fire the gun without firmly holding the lever back against the front of the pistol grip, the lever will fly forward from the air pressure acting on the front of the bolt....

Yeah, nobody is going to pay for that idea as it is, the liability is too great, IMO....

The pump action idea is pretty cool too.... but again there needs to be some locking mechanism on the bolt and an interlock that prevents pulling the trigger if the mechanism isn't locked.... JMHO....

He has quite a few other ideas on his channel. My favorites are threaded barrel adapter and the threaded TP is also a great idea.

From what I can see, the bolt for loading is still used and locking as usual. The lever merely cocks the hammer.

I don't think so.... there is no bolt handle sticking out on either side of the gun, and the vertical pin through the bolt, which is fixed into the round bar that slides back to cock the hammer, means the bolt cannot rotate.... The one he showed (with the handle) is obviously not the one in the gun.... When he is rapid firing it, he does not have to rotate a bolt handle down to lock it (even if he could).... I'm pretty sure the only thing that holds the bolt forward is holding the cocking lever back against the pistol grip.... I think if he loaded and cocked it, let go of the cocking handle, and pulled the trigger, the cocking handle would fly forward....

I stand corrected. The lever action is used with a magazine, so no bolt. I’ll have to watch that video again. Thanks Bob.
