Been shooting son's X3 inside garage (windchill -30) with cheap 4x scope from a package deal. 40' doesn't miss the same hole. Gun has been torn apart before it was even shot, cleaned, lubed, deburred everywhere including sanding inside the barrel. Starting to look like the most accurate gun in my garage for the winter. Followed Chevotas instructions for springer

The gun isn't pellet or hold sensitive at sub 500. Have shot JSB 10.9, 8.??, CHP, AND Grizzley pellets the same. Only Point Of Impact changes, SLIGHTLY.

That's my mouse gun for the cottage, it definitely feels like a toy compared to a full-sized airgun. A little bit of shimming and it shoots RWS Hobbies at 595 fps.

That's what I'd like to shoot for fps. Shims didn't work well, left it alone as it is the 9yr olds gun.
How big was the spacer?

Spacer was probably half an inch, maybe a little bigger? Not much room before it coil-binds if I remember correctly. I salvaged a piece of tubing from a small flashlight I had laying around.

Thanks for the tip. Did a Stoeger X3 and Ruger Explorer. Both shoot fine with no spring bind. Son loves shooting them. Warm tomorrow, may move back outside the day.
