hi everyone. this is my first post since i haven't purchased an airgun in over 20 years. i was given this Umarex Steel Storm from a colleague who purchased a few of them at a discounted cost and figured i'd have fun with it. out of the box it looked a little plain so i freed up some of my paintball gun's rail space and here's the result.... good thing i ran out of rails. my 30mm red dot sight would be a more practical option to mount for many but i'll use this 4X acog knockoff for a bit since i enjoy attempting beer can hits on single shot mode at ranges farther away than this gun was meant for, or that my aging eyes can barely see at 1X. i actually like the extra couple lbs and think the weight and location of the scope improves the balance a bit. it may be hard to see in the pic, but the remote switched green laser is mounted on an offset rail so it doesn't mess with the scope's sight picture. it definitely feels awkward shooting while maintaining a cheekweld on the back of a charging handle, but since there no chance the recoil will fracture my eye socket i don't mind for now. i'd probably choose other accessories if i had them lying around but don't feel like buying anything specifically for this gun at the moment.

It's your gun, mod it like you please.

I just wish they had a stock option. One thing I did not like about mine.

The Steel Storm is all about fun anyway, so you can apply the mall cop routine on it any day.
IMHO

I tossed on a 5. Not my cup of tea, but not my gun.

I'm sure there's a piece of rail available somewhere...

Personally, I think it needs a camera
