A friend of mine wants to buy one of these rifles in .22 calibre. Does anyone here have a Crosman Summit Ranger? Opinions?

Are Summit Ranger parts available? I couldn't even find a parts diagram on the Crosman web site.

"Built in America". Does this mean it's not Chinese? The few reviews on Pyramyd Air are good but there doesn't seem to be much info out there for this powerful NP2 rifle. Hey, it has metal sights!

Thanks

Should be the same parts as the Crosman Vantage NP, or Benjamin Trail.

From my research about the "built in america" most of the parts are made in Chinese and just assembled in the Crosman plant. Giving you the warm feeling its made in america. I bet still will be a made in china on it.

Thanks leadslinger... I'm just starting to get comfortable with a Fury NP so I'm new to the strut power plant. I'm guessing that there is a difference between the NP and NP2. More power I guess. The Summit Ranger has the NP2.

Yah, I guess "built" just means assembled by Crosman. The price seems a bit low for true completely Made In USA.

I think the difference is just the trigger. I never got into the NP guns.

Sooooo many crosman/benjamin guns are ALL the same internally. Just a different stock, or sights, or muzzle device.

NP 2 is completely different gun. There was a lot written about them when they came out.
