On my disco max, I was having issues with transfer ports, and floating breech. So I though about using softer poly tubing. I got plenty of it with 7 fish tanks.

So I was wondering if this aquarium tubing would work?..Its not the soft silicone stuff, but thicker stiffer stuff.

And did you have to recess the valve to stick in the tubing, or just sit like it was stock on the flat valve recess?

I have always made a pocket in both the valve and barrel to use a poly tube....

I doubt the aquarium tubing is hard enough for t/p applications. Both Rona and Home Depot carry 1/4" o/d ice maker poly tubing which hasn't failed me yet.

I have yet to have to resort to poly transfer ports on the Crosman guns. I have done the cigarette lighter o-ring mod on a few of the stock ports...

If you are having leak problems at the port, ditch the stock breech screw, and tap the hole to 4x40. These screws will tighten properly without stripping like the stock breech screw.

Make sure that the bbl inlet mates properly with the stock port- if the bbl is rotated just slightly off, she's gonna leak...

Check the rubber port seal that sits on top of the valve. They will wear out (esp on repeated assembly-disassembly) or dry out over time.
They are a modest priced insurance investment. I keep spares in my O-rings box.

I only resorted or want to resort to poly line. Because I messed up drilling the 177 shoulder on the barrel for the 22 cal transfer port. And still get floating breech. AKA gap at the front of the breech. Plus the shoulder isn't square so it effects the seal on the valve.

Breech screw is 4x48 FYI. I use slotted stainless ones. And I got like 4 spare TP seals.

Only other option would be trying to fill the shoulder and re drilling.
