Came across something interesting today. Had bought a 44 a while back and put it to the side. Thought today I would pull it out and reseal. Had the aide apart before I realized something didn't look right. Anyone have any insight?ImageImageImage

pabirdman,

A loading gate on a Crosman 44?

I have never seen or heard of that. Does it look factory or does it look like someone did a nifty custom mod?

Let us know how it goes.

It looks really good on the outside but could use some help on Inside. The door is on a spring and set good not just wired. Maybe a prototype?I also noticed the spot where the co2 tightening wheel and screw went has been modified and not sure how the co2 would have been tightenedImage

I wonder if it was modified for show and was not actually used as an airgun.

Very interesting.
