Talking pellet seater depth gauge. I bought one back awhile ago that does 177 and 22. Paid a bit of money for it and hardly used it. Gave me a sore finger from the small size and nothing to push on to snap in pellet. In my tool room I found an old toggle switch and it is much more user friendly on my hands as it had a flat box on one end. I broke off the spade connectors. I have a couple rifles that it clicks in the pellets that I can not do with just fingers. Guns seem to shoot better when pellets are locked in and pellets do not fall out of break barrels when closing. I try to always use them when I remember to.

Just wondering how many people use one?

CHEERS!

Yep.

Have found the cap from a Crosman Pellgun oil tube works in a pinch for .177.

I don't use the pellet pen or seater...

I tried the pen before and found it's useless at all to me... First it can't help much to seat a pellet well into position than my finger... Then I need to reload it to use... Just don't want to waste double loading time, so I use the tool my mother gave me 40 years ago to load pellets so far and go on and on...

I have a Grizzly Razer and a Hatsan 35S that I think is impossible to snap in with just a finger. Your momma must have gave you fingers of steel. You don't get them snapped in the skirts bend when closing the gun.

What's the special design of these 2 guns? Very tight barrel or what? We can't use smaller size pellets, like 4.49, 4.48?

I have a tight barrel HW40, each pellet can only drop into the head and will have to use finger tip to sit it into the breech ... But some pellets can't be sit well and I have to give up and use the other 'better' ( can't say it good or bad, just not for my HW40) pellet...

And I also have a mod 25, which has the most loose barrel in my all 177s... As you said, sometimes I need to be careful not throw the pellet out from the breech while closing the barrel... I think they just have different designed breech, one for drop in loading and the other must push loading... Because in my mod 25, the pellet just drop in and will stop and the barrel is loose from the end to the muzzle, I doubt the pellet will be dropped all the way out....

My rifles are going to shoot the pellets I say they will! Grizzly $7.99 per 500. When you shoot 200 -300 per day even on the cheap shooting is expensive. Bought 5 boxes of 1250 at AGS on their Christmas special and they are all long gone. Spend $15 a tin of 500 X 4 = $60 a week, or $240 a month. Shipping on top of that, No thanks! Grizzly's are bought a PA, no shipping. Drive across city to Deals store same pellets are $6.99. Shot Crosman Wadcutters mainly but no longer on Amazon on the cheap. Likely buy more from AGS now that I did not renew Amazon Prime and I have to pay shipping. My airguns don't leave the house and only shoot short distance. Airguns will slow down now since I bought two new Hoyt Compounds with lighter draw weights after my recovery of two years with a broken shoulder which is the reason I got into airguns in the first place.

To the pellets I used so far, the Crosman points looks the smallest size, almost can drop into my HW40, and I tried some times while using it on my mod 25, while closing the barrel, it fell back out...

For Amazon, I remember usually the pellets can match the free shipping for 35$... At your consumption rate, Prime or not should not give you much trouble. And the non prime free shipping said a week delivery time, but usually I can get the items in about 3 to 4 days. And I think that's alright to me ~ did you try it?!

Yes I have used Amazon without Prime twice. Not for pellets yet but other hunting related stuff. Get free shipping over $35. One other I paid $3.99 shipping because I wanted it quick (11mm to 22mm scope rail). Still have $83. for shipping this year from Amazon before it costs me more than Prime ($87. with Tax). Not much I order I can't wait a week for shipping at worse. :) :)

at 200-300 pellets a day I would recommend you up to a premium springer if you haven't already. A tx200 are very nice. Especially tuned. My understanding so is a hw97. Top of their class.

I tried the AV and the crosman pellet pens. I just use my fingers and a audio jack. Probably can find plastic picks and cut and reprofile.

Some say golf tee reprofiled. or a AAA battery for 177.

More good ideas! Thank you. A battery would concern me when in my pocket. My luck it would short out with my keys in my pocket. Be to close to privates. :) :)

Stick a rubber pad on the flat end should resolve the concern ~

[emoji16] I know that, if that private not that important, I won't be that nice to provide a solution ~

Or you want a bigger rubber pad to use on somewhere else?? [emoji41]
