What's the advantage to use a bolt with longer nose?

Isn't it somehow shorten the barrel length ( the pellet is sit closer to the muzzle, right?)

It moves the pellet farther past the transfer post and helps to insure a better seal (the mm distance closer to the muzzle is completely inconsequential for any velocity loss).

Hmm... And I just think about this, the little bit deeper the probe push the pellet in, the rifle thread will pre-cut the pellet skirt and will sit the pellet better in position to provide a more stable shot by shot consistency??

With some pellets having a deep skirt, the stock probe doesn't seat the pellet past the front of the transfer port, so the airflow is partially obstructed initially.... Seating the pellet a few mm forward more than makes up for this obstruction.... Very soft, thin skirted pellets can actually have the skirt bent by the sideways rush of air hitting it, if not seated past the port.... Yes, the consistency of the shot should be better with the pellet seated just past the front of the port....

If you make the probe too long, you lose loading room between the front of the probe and the barrel, of course.... and may have to shorten the back of the bolt.... Don't shorten it too much, or you won't be able to cock the gun.... You can gain better airflow by using a thinner probe as well.... I have used as small as 1/16" on .177, 5/64" on .22 cal and 3/32" on a .25 cal....

It looks longer probe is not that necessary especially you don't meet the unusual issue that may due to the long skirts on the special pellets, right?

Especially after I put a scope on my 1322, the room to load the pellet had been limited, don't want to make it worse...

But a thinner probe looks will help in all scenario.... Maybe I should take a little time to thinner the size of my stock bolt?!
